Supplemental educational services are academic programs beyond the school day (before or after school, or on weekends) designed to help students improve academic performance. Depending upon the provider, this service could take the form of one-on-one tutoring, small group instruction, or on-line delivery (via computers). These tutoring services are provided free of charge to eligible students. The school district pays for these services from No Child Left Behind/Title 1 funds. Parents are able to select a program that best fits their child’s needs from among a list of state approved providers.
Attend Title I schools that have been identified as Program Improvement in year 2 or beyond;
Qualify for free or reduced lunch;
Show academic need based on State Assessment scores, benchmark tests and/or classroom grades.
